Welcome to my site! I am a Christian, wife, mother and teacher. I have been happily married for 15 years to my husband Paul and together for 17. He is my soul mate and best friend. Combined we have 5 children, my stepson Bryan (19), our sons Aiden (12) and Caleb (6), and our daughters Cassidy (14) and Bella, who was born still on March 5, 2011. By God’s grace we have overcome many trials in our life. For the last five years we have been on a journey of grieving, healing, and discovery. With God’s help, we have taken this journey day by day. We believe that all things happen for a reason and that God has a plan for us.  On this site you will find my personal thoughts and feelings as a wife and mother, but also my professional thoughts and ideas as a teacher.  My desire is for something I post to minister or help you, either in a personal or spiritual way.  Thank you for taking the time to visit my site!  Comments and feedback are always welcome.  God bless!

  1. Hi,

    I am sorry to hear about your loss, but I am so glad to see you making the best of it and sharing your wisdom and love. Here is a prayer I wrote for a friend who lost her daughter and I thought it would bring you some comfort. Bright blessings be with you and your family.

    You were the chariot for this beautiful soul Bella. May the wings of motherly love bring you peace, know that she, as you are, as we all are, Children of God. A gift to the Universe from the Mother Divine. By building a relationship to God you bridge your relationship to your sweet child, as we are all connected by the Joy of the Divine.

    May this prayer serve as a peaceful and loving tribute to the memory of your daughter Bella. In the present and in the future, the spirit and the light that is in all of us – Glorious and True – It is the Light of LOVE – the light that shines from the sky and covers us – the light that shines from the stars and puts a sparkle in your eyes – the light that is your spirit sweet Bella and each time we gaze upon the stars or bask in the beauty of the sun – we know you are here and to the Whole World we radiate out this blue golden healing light

    We send a wish of good health and happiness to every person in the world, as we pray that you bless Nicole & her family, Lord and give her the grace she needs, we thank you and we ask that you shower them all with love on this day and always.

    Give us all the strength and courage, compassion and peace. So we can be at peace God and accept your will – which may seem to us at times beyond all understanding, help us to take a deep breath and come back to our faith, so we may learn Lord and use these moments to build bridges of understanding.

    We know that if our earthly dwelling, a tent, should be destroyed, we have a building from God, a dwelling not made with hands, eternal in heaven. Corinithians 5:1

    Let the healing light mend our wounds and in our heart of hearts, let us know that we are Blessed on this day with your love Lord. We surrender with compassionate to your love and it helps us to shine the light of love unto others. Bella we give you an abundance of happiness and love. Feel the prayers we have for you on each birthday, each Mother’s Day and all those days in between. We think of you with reverence and love and inexpressible gratitude. ~ Amen

  2. You are such a strong, amazing woman! I could say so many things here: well wishes, hope for the future, the “right” words, but instead I say this….cry out to God, yell, stomp and throw a fit, weep bitterly, weep sadly, lay submissively at His feet, crawl up in your Heavenly Father’s lap and let Him lavish His love on you. It’s healthy to grieve and go through a HUGE range of emotions, all a vital part of the healing process. Cry out to God, the good, the bad and the ugly, He knows what you are thinking anyways.
    Psalm 34:17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them;
    he delivers them from all their troubles.
    My FAVORITE verse is Ephesians 3: 14-19, I personalized it and CLUNG to it at one of my most difficult moments…….“When I think of the wisdom and scope of God’s plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the creator of everything in Heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give (me) mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit. And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in (my) heart as I trust in him. May (my) roots go down deep in the soil of God’s marvelous love. And my (I) have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high and how deep his love really is. May (I) experience the love of Christ, though it is so great (I) will never fully understand it. Then (I) will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” I know you read my blog posts this week about my babies in Heaven, but I had shared more of our story here previous to that:
    I sure am thinking of you during this time! Thanks for stopping by my blog…..keep your chin up Sunday, you CAN get through it! Hugs! Tonya of 4 little Fergusons
